SUNY DLE Change Leadership Community of Practice Launches

Much of our collective engagement in the DLE to date has focused on the technical implementation and the transition to a new LMS. However, there is a tremendous opportunity for campuses to also consider how best to leverage this transition to address and support other current priorities such as diversity, equity, and inclusion; EIT accessibility; general education; student success; support and assessment of student learning; faculty development, etc. Change leadership provides a structured process for guiding teams through change so that leaders can focus their attention and energies on supporting and engaging team members in building a culture of resilience amidst change.

As the SUNY DLE Implementation is now underway with all four cohort groups, we are pleased to announce the launch of a DLE Change Leadership Community of Practice (CoP) to support campus leaders in leveraging the DLE and LMS transition for maximum impact at the campus level. An initial virtual meeting was held on October 20, 2022 to introduce the CoP launch with 26 participants representing 17 campuses and SUNY System Administration in attendance. This opening webinar focused on describing the benefits to campuses, and invited interested campuses to take the next steps to participate.

A monthly Change Leadership webinar series is planned for November 2022 – February 2023 to provide tools and resources to support change leadership. To learn more, click the button below (you will need to be logged in to the DLE website).
